Traveling Between Rome and Venice

If you’re planning to travel from Rome to Venice, then you don’t really have much to worry about – it’s really easy. Rome and Venice are some of the top cities for tourists to visit when in Italy, and there’s no reason why you can’t see both whilst you’re spending time in Italy.

In order to get to Venice from Rome, you will need to take the train. You’ll get there in between four and six hours, and the fastest train ride is the Eurostar Fast Train. However, this is also the mostly costly option.

You’ll find trains running between the Rome ‘Termini’ and the Santa Lucia train station in Venice. You will need to reserve a seat on the train, so you’re not standing for hours, and you’ll also want to find out whether there is a change in your trip. Most routes don’t require a change, so you should be able to get one train there. If you do have to change at Mestre, however, then you can expect the journey to take about seven hours.
