If you’re travelled to Venice by car, then you might be wondering where exactly you can put your car. Fear not! Venice isn’t all just water, and there are plenty of places you can keep your car whilst you’re in the city.
You’ll definitely want to park your car in the city, too. The whole city is based around walking and travelling by boat, and your car will be of no use. So once you reach the Venice historic center, you will need to park the car until you’re ready to drive out of the city again.
There is a parking lot at the edge of the historic center. These parking facilities are at the Tronchetto, which is an artificial island specifically designed for parking cards. The Piazzale Roma is also a stop for taxis, cars and buses that have just arrived in Venice.
Furthermore, you can park on the mainland. This is found beyond the causeways that connects the Marco Polo Airport with Marghera, Mestre and Venice.
