If you don’t want to bother buying and validating tickets every day during your trip to Venice, then an ACTV travel card may be the best option for you – particularly if you are going to be in Venice for over a week. The Venice local transit authority offers these cards that can reduce the financial strain that public transport may have on you after longer periods of time.
These travel cards allow you to travel on the caporetti and the motoscafi, and they are electronic cards that give you unlimited travel on both ACTV land buses and water buses. You can choose between 12 hours, 24 hours, 36 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours or 7 days.
On top of this, you can also obtain a Young Person’s Travel Card. This is a three-day card that lets tourists who are aged between 14 and 29 to travel, and can be used along side a Rolling Venice Card. If you are staying at the Venice Hostel, then this is a particularly beneficial transport option.
